In the News

It seems John Mark Karr , the man arrested and subsequently released for the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, envisioned Johnny Depp portraying him in a movie about his life. I could go into detail and post everything he said about their imagined “similarities”, etc., but I won’t because it honestly has nothing to do with Johnny. That doesn’t stop the media from selling it that way, though, with headlines like, “DEPP COULD PLAY ME, SAYS KARR”. Apparently they’ve missed the actual point of this story, don’t you think?

It’s just hard to imagine that some sick bastard gets a delusion in his head, and suddenly your name is forever tied to a tragedy that has nothing at all to do with you. How eerie that must be.

Every psycho on the planet wants to make a movie about their life, and probably 80% of them want Johnny as the star. He must be thrilled.

In much more relevant news, Billboard.com has a review of “Rogue’s Gallery“, the collection of Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys conceived by Johnny Depp and Gore Verbinski during the filming of “Dead Man’s Chest”.

Looking at the contents, one has to wonder if the credits for “Shenandoah” on Disc 1 and “Boney” on Disc 2 are actually Johnny in disguise? (Or perhaps this has already been answered, and I’m just that far behind… LOL) The name “Jack Shit” just seems to fit so well with his other pseudonyms, like “Mr. Stench”, “Mr. Satan”, and the ever-popular “Tonto’s Giant Nuts” from the Once Upon a Time In Mexico soundtrack.
