Possibly Great News

As much as I hate to quote a tabloid, every once in a while they manage to get one right. I’m hoping so in this case, because The Sun is reporting that Lily-Rose was released from the hospital Wednesday (which is actually the day before the news broke that she was even ill). I can’t guarantee the story is completely true considering the source, but I did want to pass it along.

I also want to say how amazing it’s been to see the outpouring of love and respect the past couple of days — all the wonderful comments here and at the message board, and the yahoogroups have been buzzing. The ladies on the Over30 list (more than 1200 strong) even scheduled a moment of prayer/reflection for 6 p.m. Eastern tonight. I can only imagine the strange glances around the world as these ladies stopped whatever they were doing in grocery store parking lots or commuter trains and sent some positive energy to a sick little girl.

That’s just very cool, and all of you rock. And I’m sure if Johnny and Vanessa haven’t actually seen the love for them and their family, they’ve definitely had to feel it.

Sending continued best wishes for Lily-Rose’s speedy recovery,

Trish

Great News! I hope & pray she is much better. I just told my husband about her being sick a minute ago and then checked this site. I even asked my mom to put Lily-Rose on the prayer line she belongs to.

What fantastic news - I emailed everyone I knew and even sent the word out to some ministries for prayer for Lily-Rose and Johnny and family last night - I couldn’t sleep so I just kept it up - the responses from everyone all over where just so moving and so uplifting - I was moved to tears many times. I want to congratulate you all - let’s keep lifting them up - Thanks Trish! Valerie, New Jersey

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. I am happy to hear that Lily-Rose is apparently doing much better. I have to say that I am so happy that hear that their privacy is being respected. That is so rare these days.

Rusty Tack is untrue!
70. http://www.etonline.com/movies/news/47327/
The ‘Pirates’ star reportedly held a bedside vigil for his 7-year-old daughter in a British hospital.JOHNNY DEPP and his partner, VANESSA PARADIS, have reportedly spent the last nine days at his 7-year-old daughter’s bedside at an undisclosed hospital in Britain.
According to reports, the 43-year-old actor traveled to England to begin filming on ‘Sweeney Todd’ when daughter LILY-ROSE came down with a serious illness. The father of two is known to take his family on location while he is filming a movie.
Sources confirm to ET that an earlier report by In Touch magazine which stated that the illness was caused by the little girl stepping on a rusty tack is “absolutely untrue.”
Good news came on Thursday, when a rep for Depp confirmed that little Lily-Rose is recovering nicely.
“We are happy to report that their daughter is doing much better,” his rep tells ET. “The family greatly appreciates the continued support and respect of their privacy.”
In regards to production on ‘Sweeney Todd,’ the studio tells ET that the film is on schedule and will be in full production by next week. They are working to accommodate Johnny’s needs at this time, and since there are many scenes without him they’re planning to shoot those first.

I am glad that the little girl is doing much better, although I have no children myself I can only imagine the feelings of helplessness parents feel when serious issues arise with their child. I am also impressed that the media respected their privacy in such an uncertain and scary time. Sometimes they need to just “back off” and know when to leave someone alone. They will get the story eventually just not at that exact moment.I was thinking about Mr.Depp and all the roles he has played over the years…and I can to one conclusion……. no matter how much directors may try to make him look unattractive for certain roles they never succeeded because he is just naturally attractive, even playing the Captian Jack role he was still handsome as ever. This is just my personal opinion.

I have lurked around on this site for a long time and never posted a message. I have always loved this site but not ever as much as now when I see what a wonderful group of fans have united here and how wonderful Trish has been with her updates. It is an honor to be here. I have loved Johnny since his film career began. And I am thrilled to hear such positive news. I have been sick with worry and preoccupied with his personal trauma since I first heard the news. What a glorious day to find out she is healing and may already be home.

This was on Kidd Kraddick radio station I listen to this morning (3/9/07) on their Hollywood Top 5 segment. It is also listed on their web site. I hope for the better and Lily was able to go home and is doing better. Best wishes to Johnny and his family. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
“Sources now say Johnny Depp’s 7-year-old daughter Lily-Rose is extremely ill and has been in the hospital for a week and a half after being scratched by a rusty tack. Lily apparently scratched herself on the nail at Johnny’s farmhouse in France and the wound was left untreated. She’s been in a London children’s hospital since February 28, and despite a statement from Johnny’s publicist saying things are going well, sources say they are not. They say her kidneys have been affected and so far, she is not responding to treatment.”

Cricket — his publicist has said the story about the rusty nail and all that is absolutely not true, so I wouldn’t believe what that station is saying. By all official accounts, Lily-Rose is home and recovering nicely.

The power of prayer is immense. The whole world has raised Lily Rose, Johnny, Vanessa, and Jack to God for His mercy and healing presence. Our prayers have been answered! To those who wonder if Johnny’s family know how much people are responding in LOVE and caring, please be assured they certainly do know. Love has a power of its own, and can be very palpable. They know they are not alone at this time.

You know, there’s a wonderful song on Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris’ great album “All the Roadrunning” called “Love and Happiness”. It’s a song sung to a child by the parents, and this morning, this old gal (I’m 10 years older than Johnny!), paused on her treadmill to dedicate those wonderful words to Lily-Rose Melody Depp. Get better, honey.

Today I was on this site and I read about poor Lily-Rose, who was so ill. Fortunately she is doing better now. I got a warm feeling when I was reading all the comments of people who cared very much about the little girl, and naturally about her parents. Hope Lily will get well again very soon!
And dear people, let’s not forget to care about and pray for all the children in the world, who are (very) ill at the moment, and realize that not all of these kids (can)get the love & care they need. For instance, the poor ones amongst them. The ones that live in countries where good health care is not so evident as in the USA or in Western Europe.
Today, I just realized that me and my family being healthy and happy is the biggest blessing ever, and it makes me feel like a millionaire….even better!
Lots of love for all of you,Blessed Be,
Lizzy

God Bless Johnny & Vanessa, keeping vigil alongside Lily-Rose. I recall my mother doing the same when I was 3(around 1957), and I was so dehydrated from a germ I had caught, so my prayers & understanding are totally with his family. I just hope the media keep their privacy just that. Hugs all around to Lily-Rose, recouping at home is best medicine of all. All in my prayers. Big Johnny D. Fan, Cindy

When I heard about lily’s illness, I freaked out, I started to pray for her, I gotta admit that I had never pray so much 4 anyone before yesterday.. Anyway, I really got scared because I read in some news that “doctors were afraid 4 lily’s life” and I started to cry, but, I just pray 4 her, beleiving that she would recover soon, and apparently she has!!! I’m really happy about the good news, I also read that johnny looked really bad and devastated when he carried Lily from the hospital to his car.. I am still praying for him, 4 Lily, 4 the whole family, 4 Vanessa and Jack too. My best wishes 4 Johnny & his family and love 4 lily!!!!

Johnny and Vanessa, please know that we are praying for Lillly Rose and your whole family. The one thing that God gives you when there is a serious illness is a real sense of family, friends and I hope, a real sense of God’s peace. We know Lilly Rose is going to be fine, because she is daily bathed in prayer. I pray you know that as well.
God Bless you. Jenn
