'Sweeney Todd' Release Date

BroadwayWorld.com reports Sweeney Todd will go into limited domestic release in the U.S. on Dec. 21, 2007, then open into wide U.S. release on Jan. 11, 2008. The information is credited to the trade paper Variety.

I was working my parttime job at an antique store Sunday and had the tv on. Miss Congeniality was playing and there is a Sweeney Todd mention in that movie! Bizarre huh? It happens during the makeover scene for Bullock's character. Someone asks her how she's doing and the dentist is doing some work/torture on her and she said something about it being "very Sweeney Todd" .I did a serious double take.

JERRY: If you want to watch, sit down. You're making me nervous. I tell you, this Scissorhands is a hell of a barber.

Have any of you heard about theatres getting the movie late? I went to pick up my ticket yesterday and they told me they werent getting it friday. It was kind of upsetting.
