Alone for giving us Jack Sparrow, he deserves it!
He acts, so we can hear the angels sing, - and he just keeps getting better...
And he doesn't spend his money on sunglasses with diamonds on or 110 pairs of shoes... He spend them on keeping his privacy and on charity.
I like that!

After this, it is a little hard to take the Oscar-award seriously - isn't it?
I mean he was nominated for being Jack Sparrow - I don't even remember, who got it instead...

He deserves every penny, not only is he a great actor, but an accomplished musician and an all round gorgeous, wonderful, handsome human being, who is obviously devoted to his family. Well done Johnny we all love you

THIS IS SO GREAT! HOLLYWOOD CAN EAT A CROW SANDWICH FOR HARDLY EVER FOCUSING ON ONE OF THE WORLDS MOST ADORABLE AND MOST LOVED "ACTORS"! I JUST WISH 'people" magazine" (NOTICE I DIDN'T USE CAPS, THEY DON'T DESERVE IT)! HE IS SUCH AN ASSET TO HOLLYWOOD AND RARELY EVER GETS AMERICAN MEDIA COVERAGE! IT'S ALWAYS BRAD AND ANGIE, CLOONEY AND JULIA ROBERTS. THESE PEOPLE DON'T AND NEVER WILL HAVE THE RANGE, PERSONALITY, WIT AND JUST PLAIN BEAUTIFUL LOOKS, (MOJO MAN), THAT JOHNNY DOES. I WONDER WHEN "HOLLYWOOD" WILL EVER GIVE THIS MAN HIS DUE?? HE DEFINATLEY MADE A GOOD MOVE, WHEN IT CAME TO PICKING THIS SCRIPT!!!

I'm not sure being "honored" by Hollywood is such an honor for a great artist (and he deserves to be truly honored!)--I'd be perfectly happy having him go back to flying under the radar because I know in decades to come every film history book will place him alongside greats like Brando and Olivier, while Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise will be nothing but a couple of moldy footnotes with dollar signs next to their names.

I'm happy for johnny, Glad he is doing well, but that works out great for his fans aswell, with success come more roles. So we get more johnny. Also if he gets big money for those few pirate movies that enables him to chose roles just for the love of the story the way he as always wanted to work.
