He'll Never Get Bored of Jack
Now Magazine offers a snippet of an interview with Johnny Depp from "Top of the Pops" magazine in which Johnny says he could never get bored of Jack Sparrow.
"I'll never get bored of Captain Jack, he is so much fun," he says. "If they wanted to do Pirates 7, why not? There are new layers to Jack and situations that he can't just talk his way out of, so it would be good to keep exploring the character."The one drawback he admits is the process of creating Jack's golden smile:
"They're bonded on to my own choppers!" he says. "They make the surface of my teeth kind of rough then use hot glue and laser the false teeth on. The process of taking them off can be quite ugly. Sometimes they just shoot off and other times you have to address the issue more intensely with yanking.""Top of the Pops" is a BBC Magazine published in the UK.

Unfortunately, Johnny doesn't have ultimate control over the final product. Ironically, the more money something makes, the less risk the powers-that-be are going to take with it. Anything too questionable in their eyes is going to get left on the cutting room floor. Jack Sparrow may have limitless potential, but we're not going to see it fulfilled unless he quits his job at Disney and goes to work for John Waters (now THERE'S an idea :) What kind of fetishes would Jack have? The possibilities boggle the mind...
Well there are many of us that cannt get enough of capt jack either mainly Jonny. I hope it does go on I guess we will see...
I fell in love with johnny Primarily because of Pirates. PArt of me is jumping for joy thinking thst the team is gonna tear out another movie. But the other part of me wonders- besides HUGE fans like you and me- who would go see it? I would hate to see the franchise end on a sour note. I personally would love if they just kept making these movies, but the general public (and no, Johnny depp fans aren't the general public) will just see it as a money scam on disney's behalf and wont see it. (I would hate that) But- I guess we won't really know until we see #3 (21 DAYS!) and see how the other non obsessed part of the world reacts to another Pirate movie.
i love jack trust me! but i am so ready for all the other amazing characters that johnny has in side. I think it would be a shame to deny them. I think sometimes you can take things only so far. In your mind a character can go on forever but on screen not so much. Johnny has the abilty to do it but there are not to many other actor who can.
i love Johnny and POTC, but this is scaring me...pirates 6, 7 and so on will just wear the pirates franchise thin and lifeless. Johnny is sooo talented and i'd HATE for him to suddenly become typecast when he's spent his whole life doing the exact opposite! i admire him for his individuality as a person and actor. i think POTC has been fantastic! and its been Johnny's 'indiana jones' piece action on his CV, but next i'd love to see him play a war veteran or a disabled guy (thats why i was so bummed when 'Diving bell and the butterfly' got axed)
if other fans wanted to have seen Jack sparrow face every possible scenario, Johnny might aswell star in a TV spin-off series until he's retired! does anyone else have shudders just thinking about that?
I read somewhere that he thinks his looks will have given out by the time he's 50 so he probably won't work past that time - I hope it was a comment made when he was young and immature. God forbid he should ever stop acting! As far as Pirates is concerned I'll take all I can get - but don't think that Johnny can't do more than one project at a time - look at what's coming up - Sweeney Todd, etc. They might be years in between - He knows what he's doing - and after all - we've all praised him for his integrity - I don't think he would take it past a point of no return. I trust Gore Vebinski (hope I got the spelling right..)He knows, what he is doing; and Johnny too!
If somebody else suddenly started instructing POTC, we should start worrying, but for the time being, I don't. Jack is in good hands!
...and yes,- I think Johnny would have the shudders too, by the thought of (another) TV spin-off. He would never do that - especially after "Jump Street"; which turned out to be a nightmare.
beck sparrow you are so right i thought after my quote i was going to get axed. johnny is to amazing of an actor to be stuck in this same role forever. like edward s. jack will never die but there is much more greatness around the corner. (i am certin of that.)-
the jack lover trust me!
Gore VERBINSKI, - sorry..
Hi, Val!
Yes, I saw that too, but Johnny really LOVES acting.
I don't believe, he will ever stop completely.
He may cut down, but not stop all together.
Looks like we have to really get out there an make an appearance for Johnny on opening weekend of Pirates 3 - let's make sure we beat all records!
LOS ANGELES - Spider-Man caught just about everyone in his web. The superhero's latest adventure, "Spider-Man 3," smashed box-office records with $148 million in its first three days, according to studio estimates Sunday.
That put it ahead of the previous record debut of $135.6 million set last summer by "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."

I agree with one of the anonymous messages about Johnny only being able to make one film at a time. So even if he did make another pirates (and I for one would love him to) it would be several years before it came out. I also think Johnny would know when enough was enough. x
I think that u should make as many Pirates of the carribeans as u can that would be supper hot i love pirates there aswome mostly Johnny Depp thowe
