Gypsy Caravan
According to New York magazine, Johnny Depp makes a cameo appearance in Gypsy Caravan (When the Road Bends), a documentary about gypsy bands which includes his long-time favorite, Taraf de Haidouks.
"A cameo in which Johnny Depp praises the Romanian string band Taraf de Haïdouks lends a welcome dollop of cred to the proceedings, which can drag for those not familiar with (or interested in) the music represented."A comment from Johnny is also quoted on the film's official web site:
"It would be great if by experiencing the Romani people and their music, people can learn more about them and understand that - what you've believed about these people has been a lie your entire life."

how lovely of Johnny ;) he's always appearing in something that interests him...even in his BU-SY schedule. when this comes out i'll buy it for Johnny's cameo! is it worth seeing Johnny for 5 mins for a retail price of 20 quid? HELL YEAH!! :D
I think he also appears on the new Joe Strummer doc, doesn't he?
I have been to the site,it is actually some cool stuff. I think its great that he supports things he is interested in.
I heard about this months ago. I'd like to know when the dvd will be coming out but I know it's too soon.
i'm glad he does things that interest him it really cool how he doesn't just do things for the money...i think it's great
