This Is London offers a report on Barbra Streisand's stay at The Dorchester hotel in London and the demands the singer makes while traveling. In it, they discuss the differences between her upcoming visit and Johnny Depp's recent stay.
"Johnny Depp was here a few weeks ago, but was very low key. He just sat with friends in the bar. He was drinking a £600 bottle of wine, but he did not expect any special treatment."

Why should anyone be surprised by Johnnys' conduct? Johnny remembers his roots,how hard it was to sell ink pens over the phone! He enjoys life, but he doesn't expect people to kiss his feet,wait on him hand & foot, and act like a prick!(Sorry, you can delete that if you wish.)Of course I wouldn't mind waiting on him hand & foot,give him a back massage, etc. etc.etc.)Streisand is from another time & place, & there are hotels,spots that cater to her thinking, as long as she wants to pay for it. e Johnny probably just feels that's just a waste of $$, and keeps his needs simple & to the point.
Its a shame i couldnt find the info on the site ..but as we all have guessed...Johnnys a down to earth guy..though i am quite happy with a bottle a wine for £3 and a good dvd £17.(johnny of course)The other £580 has to run my household for a month....such is life...hence he looks 24 at 44 and i look 54 at 44!!!!
i dont call a bottle of wine thats costs that much simple!!!He just has manners and better breading and a insight into the down side of life..well maybe!!!
I agree every word that you said.That why I love Johnny.
If I had a hotel I would have Johnny stay there not Streisand.
We can't believe what is said about the cost of the wine. I read the same report some where else on the web and it said the wine was $1,600 a bottle. For all we know it could have been $100.00. It's only Johnny's business how much he pays for stuff but it is nice that he is so respectful to others. I know he is really nice as I have met someone who worked closely with him for months on Pirates one and two.
Streisand can't even hold a candle to our Johnny!
Well, he doesnt want or need all the media attention. So why would he make a big fuss about how he wants things. Besides that, he does not seem to me to be the sort of demanding Diva type, LOL! Gotta love the guy.
I agree with a previous post, it doesnt matter how much he pays for his wine, its just really nice to know hes respectful towards others. I read somewhere ages ago that he hates people who are rude to waiters and waitresses.

of course he's down to earth...remember his upbringing he isn't some spoiled little brat like some other celebrities...he's very easy-goign and laid back. He doesn't want people to wait on him hand and foot..basically i agree with Sparrows' nest and yes even the part about I would like to wait on him hand andd foot...
Ok the wine was expensive BUT he so nice and respectfl now.He donates things and he hs the money to afford it so why not.
We all forget one thing, they are both people and it is how we treat life and the things in our life that counts. So let the divas be divas and the nice Johnny's be nice we all know who is the better. Personally I think Barbara has wigged out in her later years. She ask to much for her concerts. That is how out of touch she is with the world.
John Christopher Depp{the 2nd} is an exellent performance, he is most beautiful,and he is also an anonymous observer. Look at this man... he is someone I believe in, someone I've related to in a way that made me believe in my own true self for I am Theory. .......Bye.
