'Sweeney Todd' Trailer Debuts
The first official trailer for Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd is reportedly attached to the Ben Stiller film The Heartbreak Kid which opens in theatres this weekend. It runs approximately two minutes and does give a sample of Johnny's singing for the role according to early reports.

In the earlier parts of the trailer he kinda reminds me of Ichabod Crane from Sleepy Hollow. He's so gorgeous!

The past is so beautiful and happy, then it transforms into a grey and depressing London street! I also love the look of Perellie! He is so fasionable, it's disgusting! Johnny Depp can sing, too! I was so afraid, but now I am relieved!
From what I've seen, aside from Jack Sparrow this could be his best performance since The Libertine. Just when you think he's done the best he can do, he raises the bar higher and higher. Every performance tops the one before it. He just keeps getting better and better. Definitely needs to win that elusive oscar!!
I knew he could sing. Anyone who can teach themselves how to play the guitar must be able to carry a tune.
P.S.Wouldn't it be great if they had a London premiere?

Agree with Sheryl above! I was in the car for four hours today and to pass the time I started composing that Oscar acceptance speech for the poor lad. (The Lib is my fave performance--this one should let him show some of the same gravity and heat that burned that house down.) Lordy!

I found this last night on Youtube and I had a panic attack. I'm so super excited to see this movie, it looks amazing.

I also found some similarities to Pirates from the trailer (I'm like obsessed with those movies). He sounds like Jack in this movie and the music kinda reminded me of of the Pirates 3 music for the trailer.
Anyhoo, I'm like freaking out right now. Oh how I wish it was December.
It's awesome I want to see it but I'll have to wait until january in The Netherlands.

Johnny is soooooooo gorgous in this film. It's a cross between Icabod Crane and Edward Scissorhands. It almost looks like the window in Edward Scissorhands. The window in the house looks familar. Can't wait to see the film. His films keeps getting better and better. I love Johnny!!!! So cute!!!!
I just saw the trailer in the theater today and it was awesome to see it on the big screen! Can't wait for the movie!
A little on the "what were they thinking?" level, it was shown at a preview of the movie "The Game Plan" which I took my kids to see. I thought that was a little intense for a theater full of kids to see, but my kids were excited to see Johnny as they're both huge Capt. Jack fans.
The trailer is approved for 'all audiences'. There is nothing too bad in it as far as I can see. In fact some of the scenes in potc3 are much more scarey. e.g A young boy being hung, a lady being shot in the head, Mercers' death at the hands (or rather tentacles) of Davy Jones, ect ect..

Went to see Eliazbeth the golden age this weekend and saw the trailer for Sweeney, almost had a heartattack, I let out a squeal everyone was laughing, Love him he looks so deliciously evil!!!
