'Sweeney' DVD Set for April Release
According to Hi Def Digest, the standard and HD DVD release of Sweeney Todd is slated for April 1 in the U.S.

Boy, that's quick. They really went in and out with this film--all this hype built up about it, and it literally just sort of breezed through the theaters and onto DVD. I can't figure out why.

Sweeney Todd was fantastic. My younger sister, niece and older sister came with me to the show the day it came out. Another fantastic movie. Bravo.
April 1 isn't going to come fast enough for me. Seeing the movie and then getting the Deluxe Soundtrack cd that I listen to everyday makes me extremely anxious to get the dvd. I hope it has alot of special features if it's not going to be a 2-disc edition. I'd love to see deleted scenes and bloopers.
Thank you for the information that Sweeney Todd will be released in April. You never seem to fail me with all your knowledge of Johnny Depp. Sweeney Todd is my favorite movie of Johnny's. And thank you for your wonderful....and my favorite....website for this magnificent man.

Thank you so much for the information about the release of Sweeney Todd on DVD in April. It is my favorite of Johnny's movies but of course they are all very precious to me. He takes me to so many differnt worlds...he is amazing! Thank you again for all the wondersous pages of him you bring to us. WTG!!!!

Totally buying it the day it comes out! It is seriously one of my favorite movies of ALL TIME! I really hope Johnny wins Best Actor Febuary 22, he really deserves to win.

Actually, the movie ran in my town (Chicago) for over a month. That's a pretty long run for movies, nowdays. I'm happy about the date of release--April 1st--my 24th anniversary! I have already informed my husband of what he can buy me that day....:)
Looks like I'm not the only one who has something to celebrate on April Fool's Day.

I'm a widow with alot of Johnny's characters - Dillinger, Hunter, Jack and now Sweeney xD
I will count down the days until it is released, like I did with Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End.
For everyone who can't either do like I did go and but the soundtrack to Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd. I bought it late December and have it all memorized now it's out of theaters I listen to it everyday now.
Trust me the CD on soundtrack can hold you over some. get the deluxe box and get a booklet on Burton's Sweeny Todd with Johnny Depp singing of course and photos
You have to go get the CD soundtrack for Sweeney Todd I got it in December and LOVE it. It will have to hold me over until April for the DVD. That was the plan. I know all the words now, I listen to Johnny's voice every night and I got a Deluxe Cd so it has a booklet on Sweeney Todd too and lots of Pic's
Does anyone know if the U.S. version of the Sweeney Todd dvd will be 2 discs? I read that the U.K. version will have 2.
I tried to pre order Sweeney Todd on DVD today at FYE but they have no record of a release date.
I am so bummed. I hope that is out soon.
cant wait to buy this one,you should have seen me when pirates came out,i was stampeding over small children and old people to get to the dvd"s.hope he gets an oscar for this,he sooooo deserves it
i believe there will be a regular dvd sold as well as a SE dvd, which i'm just going to speculate will have 2 dvds. our computers at work dont tell us whether or not it's a 2 disc, just that it's a SE.
I just pre ordered my double disc DVD of Sweeney Todd, I was told it is coming in a limited edition box for But they couldn't give me any real details. I got it at FYE they had JUST gotten an email from their corporate office about the DVD. it IS out on April 1 !!!

omg i can't wait! i LOVED pirates and i know i am gonna love Sweeney Todd. His voice in the movie sounds so much like Jack's!
*um i was just wondering, does it come out on April 1 in Canada too?
