Proceeds from donations to benefit Oshkosh Habitat project

Oshkosh’s most wanted may have skipped town in April, but Johnny Depp’s presence in the city still is making an impact.

Before the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor wrapped filming on 1930s gangster flick “Public Enemies” in downtown Oshkosh this spring, he signed photos of himself as Captain Jack Sparrow to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s upcoming community build project.

According to Habitat for Humanity of Oshkosh, a framed and signed Depp photo and a prize package that includes two seats aboard an EAA For Tri-Motor flight will be awarded to one lucky fan this summer through a special sweepstakes.

Entry is open July 20 to Aug. 7, through The Oshkosh Northwestern on July 20, 27 and 30. Entries also can be mailed to P.O. Box 1021, Oshkosh, WI, 54903-1021 or dropped off at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 1306 Michigan St.
