To 6-year-old William Nero Jr., his experience on the set of "Public Enemy" was priceless because of one person -- Johnny Depp.The Plainfield boy, who was hired to be a featured extra, spent the day with Depp on set in St. Anne, southeast of Kankakee.
"He was so excited," said his mom, Lindsey Nero, who also got to hang out with her son.
William's favorite Depp role is "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
"My son was having him recite lines from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,'" his mom said.
William, a.k.a. JuJu, did not know ahead of time that his role would be alongside Depp. He did not even know which movie it was until the last minute.
"They don't tell you," Lindsey said. "We didn't get to see the script or anything."
And that was fine."He doesn't have any lines, but he screams a little," mom said.
They were on set for only six hours, but for the young actor that was memorable enough.
"He said this was the most funnest one," mom said.
In addition to a director's chair with "William Nero, child star" on the back, JuJu returned home with autographs and a Hollywood-styled star with his name that he made with the on-set tutor.

That kid is so lucky i could only dream to meet Johnny Depp.
Once again Johnny proves the point I always make about him. He is the coolest, most gracious man. Its no wonder he is adored by so many of us! I love him. His goodness is deep from his heart. He always gives back that which has been given to him. He takes nothing for granted. I could go on forever. But you get the drift!!!
This little kid ages with my first grade students...I can truly feel for how excited he was to meet such a remarkable, talented, adored multi-super star! ***** (could go on and on with a list of Johnny's qualities) His being able to be with our precious Johnny should be 'a gift of a gift of all times in his life to cherish'...whew!
